INITIAL PSYCHIATRIC EVALUATION

This initial session includes a detailed assessment of your current symptoms, past medical and mental health history, and life circumstances. You will be sent an intake packet that Dr. Shirvani will review prior to your appointment. Dr. Shirvani will evaluate your symptoms and your goals in order to reach a curated treatment plan.

ROUTINE FOLLOW UP

Dr. Shirvani will review your progress, check in around medication and/or supplement regimens, lifestyle changes and make further recommendations as needed.

EXTENDED FOLLOW UP AND/OR PSYCHOTHERAPY

This follow up session also includes a detailed review of your progress around medication and /or supplement regimens, lifestyle changes and further recommendations as needed. Additional time will be devoted to psychotherapy and lifestyle coaching.

ONE TIME REPRODUCTIVE PSYCHIATRY CONSULT

This consultation is intended for individuals who already have a psychiatrist or other mental health provider and would like a specialized consultation and treatment recommendations when planning for pregnancy, during pregnancy, or in the postpartum period. I will collaborate with your ongoing provider and provide written treatment recommendations.

Integrative psychiatry incorporates conventional and holistic treatment modalities in
addressing mental health.

Women’s Mental Health focuses on treating mental health conditions unique to women (for example postpartum depression, premenstrual dysphoric mood disorder, menopausal transition) or conditions that often occur at a higher rate in women (such as anxiety and major depressive disorder) or like ADHD, often go undiagnosed for many women

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who completed medical school followed by a 4- year residency specializing in psychiatry. A psychiatrist’s training involves both pharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions in addressing various mental health conditions.

I treat various conditions including ADHD, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. I also treat conditions unique to women including peripartum (or postpartum) depression and anxiety as well as premenstrual dysphoric disorder.

I work with adults between the ages of 18 and 64.

I am not in-network with any insurance companies. Super Bills are available upon request for submission to your insurance.

On occasion, it may be appropriate to prescribe a stimulant for certain conditions, please note that I do not prescribe opioids.

I see patients virtually from the comfort of their environment.
